Heart-start evening at Eassie & Nevay Hall

Approximately 30 people attended the first Heart-start training at the hall on 30th April. Many thanks to Helen and her son Adam who taught us how to identify someone having a heart attack or cardiac arrest and what to do while waiting for professional help. Advice about how to help someone who was choking and information about the first responder scheme and public defibrillators was also given. Despite it being a serious subject there was a lot of laughter which helped to make the evening enjoyable as well as informative. The feedback from those present showed that it had been a very worthwhile evening with requests for an annual refresher.

Thanks to Alison Ross for suggesting the training and for organising this very popular and successful event.
