Once again the Community Hall was packed for a family quiz night last night.
Ann Durston was the quizmaster(mistress) and her unique blend of humour and control ensured that everyone present had a very enjoyable time.
Teams competed in groups of four with two quizzes running simultaneously, one for the children and one for the adults. As well as competing the children also helped Ann by distributing question sheets and collecting answers. Ann’s husband Gavin and her father, David Scrymgeour, marked the answer sheets and totalled the scores to complete this expert team.
Food was prepared by Marianne Jenkins, Diane Ryan, Miriam Cosgrove, Linda Breckenridge, Sine Robertson, Debra Ritchie and Jane Brewster. A number of attendees very kindly contributed raffle prizes. A cash bar operated throughout the evening under the expert stewardship of Bruce and Alison Todd.
At the end of the evening the question on everyone’s lips as they cheerily made their way homeward was ‘When can we have another quiz night ?’
