August Afternoon Teas

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the afternoon teas held in Eassie & Nevay hall in August. The fantastic sum of £2,002.47 was raised which will help pay for the on-going costs of the hall. So many people supported the teas in a variety of ways: baking, shopping for food, helping to set up and dismantle the tables and chairs, serving the teas, organising the rota of helpers, providing and arranging fresh flowers, providing fresh produce for the sales table, organising stalls for the final week and coming to enjoy afternoon tea in the hall. Each week the numbers increased with between 70 and 100 visiting, some coming every week. Some old friendships were renewed as people met who hadn't seen each other for years and others took advantage of the opportunities to chat to neighbours for a while.

The next opportunity to enjoy hospitality at Eassie & Nevay Hall will be on Friday October 3rd when ENKCA will host a coffee morning in aid of Lippen Care. Come along between 10am and 12 noon for fresh pancakes, home baking and tea and coffee. A warm welcome will await you.
