The annual Strawberry Walk and Tea was held on 18 July – adverse weather
meant that only four hardy souls walked, and the remaining 30 or so people
enjoyed trying out the sports equipment in the hall. A sumptuous strawberry tea followed, and
thanks go to all who baked, supplied items and helped set out and clear up the
hall. A sum of approximately £160 was
raised for ENKCA funds.
Hootenanay
"A family Hootenanay was held in the hall on 30 June, organised by
KT Garrett-Sutherland. A fun night was had by all who attended."
"The ENKCA Kidz Kommittee under the guidance of KT
Garrett-Sutherland held a successful children's disco on 23 June, when the sum
of £110 was raised. This money was donated to CLIC Sargent in memory of their
friend Adam Lear-Jones who died last June. This charity has been supported on
other occasions by the children of the community in recognition of the support
it gave to Adam during his illness. Thanks from the Kidz Kommittee go to all
who donated towards this amount, to ENKCA for free use of the hall, and members
of the community who donated drinks, snacks, etc for the night."

prize in each case was £62.00, and runners-up prizes were £7.75

Weddings in the Hall
Another wedding was held in the
hall in July – thanks go to all who gave the hall a “polish up” for the
occasion, and who brought along their floral tubs to brighten up the exterior.
