Tonight our Community Hall at Balkeerie hosts well-loved singer, comedian and all-round entertainer Eddie Rose. Eddie and his company were a sell-out at the Forfar Reid Hall last week with their show, 'A guid scotch nicht' and his blend of music, character comedy and traditional Scottish songs is a hit with audiences across the country.

The president of Eassie and Nevay WRI, Wilma Thomson thought of the idea of having this concert as a fund-raiser for the WRI and our hall rebuilding fund. It was she who contacted Eddie and, despite a busy schedule of performances across the country, Eddie kindly agreed to come along to our hall at Balkeerie and perform.

Wilma and Diane Murray, assisted by Peter Jeffries, set up the hall yesterday for tonight's show. They have put in a tremendous amount of effort organising the layout of the hall and sorting out the materials for raffles and refreshments.
